Community workday rescheduled: Rain date: Vermont Avenue March 3, 2024; 1 pm to 3 pm

The rain is a bit much for working outdoors today, but tomorrow promises much! Meet Sunday, March 3 from 1 pm to 3 pm to clear out some tree-killing vines and invasive ground cover. It feels good! Please bring a shovel or loppers. Some tools will be provided, but extras are always welcome!

Other things to wear and bring Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes with a good tread appropriate for walking through a wooded area with uneven surfaces. Long sleeves and pants, hats, and sunglasses if needed. Gloves are a must!! Some extra gloves will be available, but sizes are limited. Barrier cream will be available. Walking sticks if you have them for stability – a few are available for use. Water is always a good idea, even in cooler weather.

Gather – Near the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue. All participants are asked to sign in and instructions for clearing the targeted invasive plant(s).

We’d love to have you!
